Four friends collected more than £ 1,100 for charity after finishing 100 golf holes in 24 hours.
Freddie Carradus, 23, from Kendal, had the idea in May with his friend Jake Quarry, 18, and two cousins Billy Braithwaite, 20, and Toby Braithwaite, 18.

This comes after seeing an advertisement for Prostate Cancer UK which invited golfers to take up challenges of 56, 72 or 100 holes as part of the Grand Golf course.
They called the clubs in the south of the Cumbria and finally received a response from the Bentham Golf Club.
A date was finally set for July 24.
“We were not members and only one of us had played the course once before,” said Freddie.
“Bentham was incredible and seemed really enthusiastic to help us.
“We started at 3:15 a.m. and played until 7 p.m.

“We have played a few by 3 more than once,” said Freddie.

“If we play our own ball all the time, we would never have been doing.

“I love playing golf,” concluded Freddie. “If it’s a good weekend, this is one of the first things I try to organize.
“My girlfriend is not too happy, but it’s always a good time and you know that you are going to have a good time.
“There is no better feeling than presenting yourself with your friends for a weekend and growing them in the woods. It’s much more social.”
