Fulham 2-3 Sheffield United: Marco Silva’s team defeated by two penalties like Emile Smith Rowe on the target

Fulham underwent his first pre-season defeat on Saturday when they were beaten 3-2 by Sheffield United in a friendly in the doors of wordspur park.

Emile Smith Rowe and Raul Jimenez were on the target for the Cottagers in the 120 -minute match, but their efforts were canceled by a pair of blades and the winner of Callum O’Hare.

Ryan Sessegnon, who appreciated a career resurgence when he returned to his childhood club last season, the opener of Smith Rowe, putting him in place with a horny aid which was stuffed in the upper corner with 15 minutes played.

But the game was level at halftime after Tom Cannon scored on the spot.

Jimenez recovered the head of the Western London outfit after the break, returning home from the corner of Andreas Pereira to score her first pre-season goal, before Louie Barry was equalized for Ruben’s men sold 12 yards.

O’Hare scored the only additional time goal to ensure the victory of the championship team.

The result will bring Fulham back to earth after their arrival at the top during friendly meetings with Nottingham Forest and Al-Ittihad.

Cottager discipline – or its absence – can be questioned after giving two penalties in the match.

They can be encouraged, however, by Smith Rowe’s summer performance. He found the bottom of the net twice in three pre-season matches after having fought for form and physical form last year.

It was a calm window in Craven Cottage, with the 34 -year -old goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte arriving from Montpellier as the only signature of the summer so far.

Marco Silva had hoped for transfer investments after an 11th place without interest last season.

“Myself as manager and all managers, they would prefer that the team be almost finished at this stage of the pre-season,” said the Portuguese last month, obviously frustrated by the club’s lack of movement in the transfer window.

“I understand the fans, but what I can tell them is that we work hard, we have not started in terms of signatures. But we have a lot to do on this market.”

Fulham has another friendly reserved this summer-they welcome Eintracht Francfurt at home next weekend before going to Brighton and Hove Albion for their first first League 2025-26 match August 16.
